We always want to control things, be sure everything is in the best conditions, but it rarely happens. There is always something that goes wrong, and we say we are incompetent. The problem is that we do not try to force striving for perfection. The most important thing is to tell things as they come.
You can always spend hours perfecting an article, to retouch a photo, and we realize that it is scarcely appreciated. However, you can write something in 5 minutes and receive tons of feedback. You can not change anything so why are you tired? If you are genuine, while others will feel it and will thank you for that authenticity. This does not please everyone? In a blog, you’re the master, and it is for you to orient it as you want.
Some criticize bloggging councils, and they are right. I give this advice because they work for me, but that does not mean that it will also work for you. It just gives you a track if you have more ideas. I’ll give you an example:
A few months ago, I found more inspiration when I was going to write tutorials. Since WordPress is one of the best scripts I try to learn it thoroughly. I realized that browsing the web lacking complete articles on certain aspects. So I decided to write how to install WordPress with screen shots and trying to detail all the problems we may encounter. At the same time, WordPress 3.0 came out, and it included the famous multi-stable, but nobody knew how to activate it. I am that there was something to do and I roll up my sleeves, and frankly it was one of my most difficult items. I showed how to enable the multisite in WordPress 3.0 and in the beginning, none of these items has been successful. They were just like other items.
Then in my bioindustry consultant, I noticed that more and more visitors came from Google, and it was amazing, because the majority of my traffic comes from Twitter. Queries were like: install wordpress, wordpress multi-turn, etc.. So I went on Google and I typed these requests and what was my surprise that I was in the first page of results in both applications (you can check).
It allowed me to understand that useful articles will always be successful because it is questionable relevance of results since there are probably thousands of articles showing how to install WordPress, but we will say that mine was quite Complete. It’s a winning technique for regular visitors (note I did not say of loyal visitors, because they are two different concepts).
Everyone can do the same thing if you look closely, find what’s missing and fill it. I’m not saying that these items are perfect, far from it, but readers feel that I whipped to do and therefore, they thank me in their own way. Subsequently, I have always tried to do this kind of articles more or less success, and now I would never run for inspiration.
